Artworks.
As an artist, I create through a variety of mediums, including painting, sewing, video, installation, photography and more.
Two examples of projects I have completed within NCAD.
It's Dark When I Leave, It's Dark When I Get Home
This project was based on the everyday commuters I saw daily as I travelled to and from college. Leaving in the darkness at 6:40 to get to the 7am train, only to return home in the dark anywhere from 5pm to 9pm, It inspired me to observe my fellow passengers during my journey.
The struggle of long commutes for students, working people, parents and more are documented through rotoscope animation and video installation.
This work was exhibited through the use of live models (all of whom are commuters themselves) in Heuston Station in December of 2023

This project focuses on the tough topic of Dementia, and how growing listening to stories slowly change and be forgotten is like losing them again.
My Grandmother suffered with Dementia in her later years of life, she had always been an avid story teller, and with the life she lived in rural ireland in the 50's she had a lot of stories to tell.
The piece includes my Granny's knitted pieces, a cup of black coffee, her knitting case, a zine poem written by my father, a Video installation of her telling a story on repeat, though with each loop the story loses key factors, mimicing the experience of hearing her slowly lose her memories.
