5th Year Wire Sculpture based on Native Irish animals
This unit included the creation of a completed wire sculpture and a visual research notebook.
Students had to research their chosen native animal and collect information on their population numbers, diet and habitat, and research possible ways we can or could have helped these creatures.
The Filling Station
5th Year Lino project based on the Elizabeth Bishop Poem The Filling Station.
For this project, each student took a section of the poem The Filling Station by Elizabeth Bishop and created an a4 Lino motif to be displayed as part of a series, creating a visual version of the Leaving Certificate English Poem as a class group.
Additional Experiences
While in Coláiste Eoin I got the chance to take part in their school fundraiser and wellbeing event LipSync, were I joined the teacher ensemble.
I also got the brilliant opportunity to go on the Art Departments school trip, This was fantastic experience as I got a good taste of what goes in to managing students while on a trip outside the county.
I created and graded Christmas exams, and joined an Oide day for the new Leaving Certificate Curriculum changes.
